Eco-Friendly to the Grave: Japanese Manufacturer to Produce First Hybrid Hearse Tuesday, June 30, 2009

(CNSNews.com) - The Japanese hearse manufacturer Lequios is going green with its new model, the Toyota Prius Hearse. Lequios says it is responding to the increased demand for eco-friendly transportation.
The hearse, when production begins, is expected to cost about $80,000.
“It’s nice to know that every market niche is being catered for,” said Myron Ebell, director of energy and global warming policy at the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI).
“Even people who are worried about their carbon dioxide emissions can rest easy, knowing that they are being transported to the cemetery in a Prius,” Ebell added, tongue-in-cheek.
In its design stage, the new hearse is rumored to be 21.34 feet long, which comfortably fits a large casket. At 44 miles per gallon, the hybrid has a decent fuel efficiency compared to most hearses in the market.

“I don’t think it’s going to have any environmental impact at all, even if you do believe in global warming alarmism,” said Steve Milloy, founder and publisher of JunkScience.com and a columnist at FoxNews.com.
“The only thing that I can see that the hearse is appropriate for is to bury the green agenda in,” he said. *
CNSNews.com contacted leading environmental groups for comment, including the Union of Concerned Scientists, who refused to respond.
*I agree!. Yes, as Christians we should care about the environment.States like California, however, want to take is as far to to you what color of car to buy.The "governator" should save the science fiction for his movies! Trouble is, its hard to separate the science from the socialism and outright lies. After all, God is still in control. Want to read God's take on "global warming", read 2 Peter 3:10! God bless...keith
